Reference views & scope

What is grounded

Front, rear and side placement follows the four supplied product views. Connector types and hardware counts were checked against Blackmagic Design’s HD8 ISO specifications. FMP labels come from the supplied draft Switcher SOP.

Panel geometry, button travel and lever motion are approximate. Product-photo illumination is not the venue’s current state. No installed firmware, current venue patch or physical equipment readiness is verified.

Practice boundary

Preview, direct Program selection, CUT, AUTO, a manual background MIX, BKGD and video FTB are simulated. Keyers, audio, macros, Aux routing, recording, streaming and shifted banks are described for identification only.

The FMP SOP is a draft. Its source labels are useful context; uncertain fallback and downstream-routing statements are not modeled as confirmed facts.

Validation record & component catalog

Revision 1.0.1 · Updated 20 September 2026. Correction: both selected source buttons turn red during a partial MIX, returning to red/green at an endpoint. Based on Dave’s observation.

Catalog, simulation and scene structure	Passed: catalog, switching-state checks, scene construction and all component-to-mesh mappings. These are code checks, not rendered-browser tests.
DOM emulation	Passed: inspection does not operate controls, switching actions, search, fallback, lesson recovery and assistance tracking. CSS layout and WebGL are not assessed by this check.
Partial-MIX tally correction	Passed in code and DOM emulation: both selected buttons red at intermediate positions, red/green restored after completion or reversal, and reset. Hardware observation attributed to Dave.
Rendered browser interaction	Blocked: the preview browser does not permit local-file URLs.
Physical desktop, iPad and phone use	Not tested on physical devices.
Cold offline launch	Not browser-tested. Scripts and photos are embedded; no runtime network requests are required.
Deployment	Not applicable: portable model, no deployment requested.
