Four simultaneous control channels.

The full ATEM Camera Control Panel provides four simultaneous camera-control channels. A channel can be assigned to another camera. Do not describe it as a fixed pair of banks with eight cameras total.

The separate ATEM Micro Camera Panel has eight camera-selection buttons. Its controls and selection scheme should not be used to explain the full four-channel panel.

Field reference

On URSA Broadcast G2, ND is a local wheel.

The URSA Broadcast G2 manual describes a physical neutral-density filter wheel operated on the camera. Do not promise motorized or remote panel ND for this body.

Coordinate the ND change with the camera operator, then reassess exposure and match. The setting belongs to the physical camera; a training illustration does not read or change it.

Field reference

Confirm which camera the controls address.

  1. Read the model badge on both the panel and the camera.
  2. Check the camera’s configured ATEM camera ID and the assigned panel channel.
  3. Coordinate with the director and camera operator before making a test adjustment.
  4. Observe the intended camera’s response on a suitable monitor.
  5. Restore the agreed setting and confirm the match before returning to show operation.

Support for a setting varies by camera model and installed software. Reassignment is not proof that the return/control path reaches the intended body.

Field reference

Establish a repeatable starting point.

  1. Agree the camera format, frame rate and house image target.
  2. Check back focus and lens operation with the operator before judging sharpness.
  3. Use the same reference subject and suitable monitoring when comparing cameras.
  4. Confirm the local ND position; then adjust supported exposure and color controls deliberately.
  5. Recheck the match in the intended lighting and record unresolved differences.

This is a coordination sequence, not a universal preset. Lens, lighting, camera model and the production’s look determine the settings.

Field reference

An old “not active” label is not a current verdict.

The earlier field sheet was based on a video from the URSA Mini Pro era. Inactive buttons in that demonstration do not establish what today’s installed camera and software support.

Later ATEM software added electronic ND support for compatible cameras, including Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro. That does not turn the URSA Broadcast G2’s physical wheel into a remotely controlled filter.

For each uncertain control, record the camera model, panel model and installed software version, then consult the matching current documentation and verify the response during an agreed test.

Field reference

Open checks stay open until observed.

  • Verify the installed panel’s camera-selection behavior.
  • Read the exact body model; “G2” alone is not a complete identity.
  • Confirm the local ND wheel and supported controls for that body.
  • Retest old inactive-control claims against the actual firmware.

These model references are separate from the venue’s current assignments and operational acceptance.
